Newborn Rattles
8 week old newborn, heavily congested?

Before I say anything, my baby is booked in for the doctors on Monday,

Now, I just want to know if any one else has gone thru this,

My baby is 8 weeks old and is congested, at least I think it’s congestion, I use the saline drops (as that’s what the doctor has said to do the last 2 times I saw them) but in the past 2 weeks, no mucus has come up. It’s like his chest is rattling, I’ve bought some soy formula for him to try, just to see if it’s a dairy thing, but I’m kind of fed up with the ‘just use the saline’ line I keep getting. Surely 8 weeks of congestion (also his whole life) isnt normal? His dad and I both have asthma but the doc said they can’t diagnose that untill 2 years of age.. Help! Anyone who’s been thru this?!?

My daughter was the same from birth to 3 months and then just grew out of it!
I was waiting and waiting for her to be old enough for different meds (my doc was all about the drops too) and then it just disappeared!
I was also worried about asthma as my husband suffered as a child.
She’s 6 months now and she’s fine. Hopefully your story will be similar, x
