Mothers, what is the one toy your baby couldnt do without?

My 7 month old baby is dissatisfied with her bouncer, rolling around, her toys, etc. I have to play with her all day long and I need something that will make her happy on her own for at least 20 minutes so I can get on with the housework! I’ve tried putting her in a carrier on my back but she hates it! Can you recommend any great toys/activities? Thanks!

Go outside with her, have a nice walk and come home and sit and play with any toy (balls work well) for 10 minutes, then let her know you are going to get up and do the dishes.

This is called play and walk away.

Take away 75% of her toys for 3 weeks and reintroduce each toy slowly. She might find new ways of playing with them.

Keep some music on, and talk to her while you clean, and keep her in sight.

Try a sling or front carrier, she might like it (usually they do protest the first few times, but once they are close to your heart and YOU are calm they will calm).

Infant Toddler Rocker Fisher Price?

Is this a decent vibrating chair to arrive? Bright Star have one last night, and return this night, when Mom and Dad get off work! The toys were too low for him to see and it's like he was sitting directly in it, I know a mother yesterday complained that fall on the baby (almost whlo could sit by herself, but she had left the room too …..) but is there any other complaints? no I'm using it as a rocker until you are big enough to swing jajaja.

Old Macdonald had the one with my last two (3 and 1) and was a lifesaver. I've never had a problem with the volcano in any of my children. I also never makes a good swing. Ours also has an option to rest all the way so that our children were not sitting up and down.

I bought my 5 months old and hates a walker so I am thinking that as the jumperoo?

Both my children loved it, the first sign of a rebound in the leg and went for my first son when I had my second son was used and she loved him too. A coworker was complaining that his daughter did not like to feel nervous on a door, I gave our jumperoo and loves. They are really nice and comfortable height adjustable so you!

How do u take object on My baby girl for ds?

Ok so im on month 6 of my baby girl for ds and i dont know how to make my baby named Ayanna, Take the object. Should i buy a certain toy? or wat should i do? I did it one time and that waas it but now shes not taking it. Plz tell me how to do this. really plz no jokes.

i use the green rattle and move it up and down above her hand until she grabs it

Safe toys for X-Mas?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any safe toys for boys 5-7 yrs old and girls infant to toddler ages. There are so many recalls that I am unsure what I can get them without having to worry about their safety. Anyone’s children really enjoying a certain type of toy?

For babies?

lol, I got a chuckle out of this. My son is 6 months old and is more interested in keys and shiny necklaces than his toys that make noise or sounds. He also gets a kick out the tv. If you are walking past the tv with him in your arms, he’ll move whichever way possible to see that screen.

My nephew is 10 months old and seriously I was trying to get him to look and play with his toys, but instead he was digging in the trashcan, trying to get into dog food, and playing with measuring cups. The toys are cute and nice and “baby-looking” and I would imagine that some babies like them, but the babies in my family want everything BUT their toys. lol.

What could possibly be a more personalized baby gift than a homemade baby gift basket? One way to make it special is by selecting baby gifts specifically for the new bundle of joy. This is a beautiful and useful gift for a baby shower, christening, or to take with you when you go to visit the precious new baby. When you found out you were expecting a little girl did you want everything to be pink? I just went to wal mart and printed of my cousin’s registry and I was rather amused to find that everything on it from the travel system, swing, and toys to the infant tub and clothes were requested in pink. My baby’s travel system was pink, but i didn’t care too much about the other stuff. It just gave me a chuckle to see it

Absolutely NOT. in fact i HATE the color pink, and requested on my shower invite that i NOT get anything pink!! My colors were light green and light purple. .

Oh of course i loosened up on my pink boycott when it turned out to be my daughter’s favorite color..*sigh*- what can ya do, ya know? lol

So, how many infant Halloween costumes are aware of that keep your little one entertained and everyone else at the same time?

Well this is our little one’s first Halloween. As a father of three kids, and as many of you first time parents will learn soon enough, its not always simple ensuring a baby happy, even if they are wickedly charming. So it may seem silly now, but when your rushing to get in those last few houses on Halloween, or need to squeeze in one more uncle’s place so that everyone in the family will see how charming your cutie looks, the orange rattle wont seem nearly so silly, and you’ll be asking what person came up with such a great idea!

Yes, the rattle is charming, but what else do you need in the best baby Halloween costume? Well warmth matters a great deal. Of course we could put them in the pram and cover them with bunches of quilts or hold them in our arms wrapped up close, but what’s the point of making them so charming if no body can see them? On a chilly autumn evening this chenille and flannel bunny costume is like a warm pair of bed clothes and a jump suit all at once! There is no obligation to cover them up in many layers of blankets, just a warm jacket and the bunny suit should work in most occasions.

Safety should be important when picking it out as well. I had to ensure that my little one could easily see when put in this suit. Since there is nothing to cover the face and it’s not too tight in the chest, this outfit meets my criteria. And because I’ll be taking baby in a pram, I don’t need to think about her knocking over Halloween decorations either.

And it doesn’t get any more adorable than a wee bunny, except of course it’s your own little bunny, but I’m pretty sure that all the neighbors will agree, that even if the little bunny isn’t their own, he or she is still extremely cute and almost as sweet as the mountains of sweets you will no doubt take home. And since your little one is too little to have any of it, you might have to share it with the bigger kids in your home while you are savoring the many pictures you are probably going to take so you can remember your baby’s first Halloween!

Every Halloween, my entire extended family takes the kids out trick-or-treating. This group includes Aunts , Uncles and Grandparents too. Along with all the kids and adults, our lot is usually about 25 people, with half of them being under the age of eight. My baby girl is the youngest this Halloween, and of course I believe she’s the most adorable. The other parents of little ones are a little shocked that I’ve already got a costume, but I think they are possibly a little envious that they haven’t found a costume as fantastic as mine yet.
